Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale Webb.) also known as Pise-en-lit, Lion's Tooth, Fairy Clock, Cankerwort, White Endive, Wild Endive, Mniszek tea is commonly used as a coffee substitute and has a robust flavour with a hint of bitterness and has long history of traditional use.
Suggested Use: It can be used for herbal decoction, powder root in coffee grinder, add 1-2 teaspoon to cup of cold water, slowly bring to boil, simmer for 5-10 minutes, strain and serve. Contraindications: Contraindications include acute stomach irritation or bowel irritation, digestive weakness, bile duct obstruction or biliary inflammation, gallstones, gall bladder inflammation, intestinal obstruction and allergic sensitivity to other asteracea (e.g. chamomile or yarrow)
