Shiitake (Lentinus edodes (Berk.) Pegler) also known as Black Forest, Chinese Black, Oriental Black, Golden Oak Mushroom, Xiang Gu, Dong Gu, Hua Gu , Shaingugu, Qua Gu, Xiānggū, Pyogo, Lentin des Chênes, Champignon parfumé may support heart health and contribute to immune health. Shiitake has been used traditionally for ages.

Suggested Use: It can be used for herbal tea. Place the 1-2 teaspoon of mushroom in a saucepan (preferably not aluminium), pour on cup of water, place the saucepan lid on, bring to the boil and simmer on a low heat for 20-35 minutes. Strain and drink. For best effect sprinkle mushrooms with oil before cooking.
