Sweet flag (Acurus calamus L.) also known as sway, muskrat root. Sweet tasting, with flavours similar to a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger - although watch out for the bitter aftertaste. Perfect as a tea, flavouring for food or as bitters. Sweet flag has long history of traditional use.

But that's not all, our powders are made to powder on day of dispatch. Why? What's that mean? Every Herbalist know answer to that. Contraindications: When taking medications or other herbs on a regular basis, you should consult your doctor about consuming calamus rhizomes. Additionally, it should not be used in case of allergy to calamus rhizome, during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age.
