Suggested use of Botanical Remedies Valerian Vinegar Tincture:

Unless instructed otherwise by Herbalist or health practitioner, traditionally dosage will vary between 1ml (20 drops) to 3 ml, up to 3 times a day. Taken with water, juice or other fluid. Shake well before use.

Sediment that forms over time is normal and nothing to worry about. It is just the mother growing. If you don’t want the mother to grow, you can pasteurize the vinegar. This will keep benefits of the vinegar, but you will lose some extra benefits that come with the mother.

Shelf life:

We give our live vinegars with mother 1 year shelf live, however if you pasteurize it will add another 2 years of shelf life (actually there are scientific data showing that vinegar after over 100 years still keeps all properties of herb used).
