English Oak (Quercus robur L.) also known as pedunculate oak, common oak English Oak has strong astringent, bitter taste and has been used traditionally for ages.
Suggested Use: It can be used as herbal tea. Place the 1-2 teaspoon of herb in a saucepan (preferably not aluminium), pour on cup of water, place the saucepan lid on, bring to the boil and simmer on a low heat for 10-15 minutes. Contraindications: Not to be applied externally to damaged skin over a large area. Contains tannins which may affect absorption of alkaloids and other basic drugs.
